Brandon celebrated his 4th birthday in style…. he got a ride to school care of the Maitland Fire Department.  He arrived at the school with all his classmates/friends watching, cheering him on.

Yohe Cabo Vacation

We spent almost a week in Cabo San Lucas this last week, staying at the Villa Las Palmas in the gated community of Pedregal.  Our group of 11 adults and 6 kids all stayed at the villa.  It was huge!!!  13,000 sq. ft, 6 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 4 stories and an unbelievable view of the Marina and Downtown Cabo.

We all had a great time there…we spent a lot of time at the house, as it had a really nice pool with hot tub, and the spectacular view, and had our meals catered by the staff at the house.  It was like being at a resort, we didn’t want to leave.

We spent a few days through downtown Cabo,  and some days on Pedregal’s private beach on the Pacific.  The beach was only a walking beach because the undertow was quite strong, but it had a great wide open space of sand, and spectacular views of large mansions and rocks.

We spent one evening doing a cruise on Spartacus at Sea for whale watching and a sunset… a few didn’t last very well, so we missed out on the full sunset, but got some great views of some whales.  Some of us did a full day of deep sea fishing… we caught 1 striped marlin, 2 amberjacks, 1 yellowfish, and over a dozen sierra leone.

Magic Gator Crocs!

His Crocs you say? Give me a break… Let me provide you some facts from last year:

Brandon started wearing Crocs at the beginning of the football season last year, and on his Crocs, he has a lucky Gator Jibbitz. Last year, he had an orange pair and wore them every time the Gators played except one time…. Which one time do you ask? It was the Ole Miss game, the one game we lost. He refused to wear them that morning… and Amy actually brought out the powers of the Crocs by telling him…. “If you don’t wear your Crocs, the Gators will lose!” Immediately after that remark, I told her to take it back, but she said it doesn’t mean anything, and anyway, there is no way Ole Miss is beating us in Gainesville. 5 Turnover later, the Gators lose.

After that loss, we made it a point to wear his Crocs, and the Gators never lost again, winning their 2nd national championship in 3 years.

Now we come to this year…. he has new Gator blue Crocs instead of orange, but the Gator Jibbitz transfers to these new crocs:

Brandon wears his Crocs every morning…. that is until one cold Saturday morning.  I didn’t even notice he wore socks and sneakers that morning we headed out for breakfast.  We went on with our day and started to watch the Arkansas game.  Throughout the first half, I could not believe my eyes… it looked like we were going to lose the game…  I talked to Amy midway through the 3rd quarter, and said I could not believe this was happening… she smirk at me, and says “You know, Brandon didn’t wear his Crocs this morning, and I didn’t make a big deal of it because it was cold.”

I immediately questioned her loyalty as a Gator fan, and yelled to Brandon “PUT ON YOUR CROCS!”  He did not want to do so, but after successfully bribing him with chocolate, he put them on…  We returned from commercial break, and the immediate first play from scrimmage,  Tebow finds a streaking Thompson down the field and we score a 70 yard touchdown!!!  We screamed and yelled, and Amy became a believer.  “I have chills, that is ridiculous!” she yelled.  Brandon kept the Crocs on and we ended up coming from behind and winning at the end of regulation.

Just this last weekend…. Brandon wore his Crocs and has them on all throughout the day… We watch the 1st half of the game at Debbie’s house at a little party.  During the 1st half, Brandon is playing outside, and doing a lot of digging.  We head out at halftime back home, so we can watch the 2nd half from home… kids were tired.  We get home, and Amy decides to give Brandon a bath and clean him up during the 3rd quarter.  Obviously she takes his Crocs off at this time.

The 3rd quarter is a disaster and South Carolina has all the momentum in the world.  In between the 3rd and 4th quarters, I ask Brandon to put his Crocs back on… He initially refuses, saying he has his pajamas on, but once again, after a nice bribe of chocolate, he agrees.  We come out of time out, and on a 3rd and 3 from our own 25 yard line, a freak interception occurs, and the Gators return the ball 50 something yards.  ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!  We go on to score a TD on that drive, putting the game out of reach, and our defense comes alive and finishes the game!  Amy was in tears, in total disbelief of what happened.  I was screaming and yelling in excitement, hugging Brandon for once again saving the day.

I want you to know, I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!!!  Seriously, the only one time in the past 2 years he didn’t wear his Crocs was the Ole Miss game, and the two times this year we have had to put them back on, both times the IMMEDIATE play, the Gators have had the Play of the Game change the outcome.

Trust me, he will be wearing his Crocs the remaining times this year…. in general… it is absolutely amazing what Brandon has experienced from a Gator fan perspective.  He was born March 10th, 2006, and in less than 4 years, has 2 Gator National Football and 2 National Basketball Championships under his belt, an unprecedented number of championships for a fan to have in his lifetime, yet one that hasn’t even turned 4!

So now do you believe???!  GO GATORS!

At her two month checkup, she came in at 22 3/4 inches tall, and 11 lbs. 5 ozs in weight.

She is already smiling a ton and is really trying to laugh.  She is starting to sleep better through the night, and typically can get any where from 3-7 hours at a time.
